Magmasaur – Leviathan of the Lava Sea

This mod adds the Magmasaur, a huge prehistoric predator that lives in the Nether’s lava oceans. It’s rare, but if you spend enough time near the lava you’ll eventually see one come up.
It swims fast and hunts anything near the shore. It breathes fire at you (even up close), jumps out of the lava to grab you, bites, and will swallow a Strider whole. It also has a roar that gives everyone nearby Darkness, and it can break through most blocks, so hiding behind a wall doesn’t really work unless the wall is made out of obsidian.
When you kill one it always drops a full set of Magmasaur armour. It’s a bit stronger than netherite, lasts longer, and you repair it with netherite ingots. The helmet lets you see further in lava, and if you wear the full set you get Fire Resistanc.

infernal Caldera
There’s also a new structure, the Infernal Caldera. It’s a volcano out in the lava sea with a ruined gatehouse, a round watchtower, a few smaller ruins and big fossils around it. Inside there’s a throne hall, a forge, a treasury, and a lair with a sleeping Magmasaur in a lava lake. If you hit it or get too close, it wakes up.
The chests have better loot than most Nether structures: netherite tools, netherite ingots, Ancient Debris, enchanted gear and smithing templates. You can find Infernal Caldera maps in Nether Fortress and Bastion chests if you don’t want to search for one yourself.
The Caldera is guarded by Magma Wither Skeletons. They wear different amounts of magma-trimmed netherite, some carry shields, and a few rare ones wear Magmasaur armour. Their hits set you on fire. Blazes spawn there too, and they’re stronger than normal ones and wear magma helmets. The skeletons can rarely drop a Magma Wither Skeleton Skull, which works for summoning the Wither.
