Pith’s Ratventures

This modpack was originally intended to be vanilla+ rats-edition, after falling in love with “Rats” and the older addon for it “Ratlantis”. To me, mods and by extension modpacks, should add to the game in small but noticable increments – more ores, more tools, more structures, and more depth of content! After writing down what I wanted in the end, I realized that there wasn’t anything out there that fit what I was really looking for. I’d played different ones before, simply refusing to interact with some mods, but the end result was running out of motivation before acheiving any of my goals. So I set out to add things that made sense with my goals: To build impressive buildings and interiors, to explore the world on foot, to reduce or increase the power of common survival pain-points, and make the world feel more alive.

In our modpack we added things like Alex’s Caves to add more diverse biomes, blocks, and mobs, or others like Towns and Towers or Structory to add life and diversity to generated structures. Some more helpful mods like JustEnoughItems, Chunk Loaders, Construction Wand, and Craftable Debugstick are for building grand farms or redstone projects. Add an entire suite of decorative mods – all made by Macaw – and you have the perfect modpack for building a diverse home base in survival minecraft that still gives you a reason to leave home behind. Just don’t explore Ratlantis before you’re ready!
