Building Gadgets 2 (Fabric)

This is an unofficial Fabric port of Direwolf20’s “Building Gadgets”, a building tools mod.

Five gadgets do the work of a thousand clicks:
The Building Gadget places rows, walls, columns and surfaces of any block.
The Exchanging Gadget swaps blocks in place.
The Copy-Paste and Cut-Paste Gadgets move whole builds and machines.
The Destruction Gadget clears an area.
Every gadget shows exactly what it is about to do before you click, and every action can be undone.

The Template Manager saves copies as templates you can share as text.

This is an unofficial port to Fabric. The content within the mod is Direwolf20’s and the Building Gadgets team’s. This mod focuses on bringing the quality and enjoyment of Building Gadgets 2 to Fabric while ensuring to maintain parity in content with the original while also providing the occasional bug fix or compatibility change as needed.

Charging the gadgets

The gadgets run on energy. On Fabric they take the standard Fabric energy (Team Reborn Energy, built in), so any Fabric mod’s charger fills them, for example Tech Reborn’s chargers. To play without power, set a gadget’s `maxPower` to 0 in `buildinggadgets2-common.toml` and it works uncharged.

Where blocks come from

Your inventory, items that hold items (backpacks), a linked inventory, and etc.

Claims

Gadgets respect land claims from Fabric claim mods that use the Common Protection API (Flan, GOML and others): they won’t build into or break blocks in a claim you can’t edit.
