Backrooms brings the unsettling atmosphere of Level 0 into Minecraft. Explore yellow-wallpaper corridors, damp carpets, and fluorescent-lit rooms—but keep your supplies close and your sanity in check.

600 Level 0 room layouts — explore a sprawling maze of eerie rooms and passageways.
The Bacteria entity — face a hostile presence with pursuit behavior, animations, and chilling sound cues.
Sanity system — manage your declining sanity and recover with Almond Water.
Scavenge to survive — search for collectible Almond Water and supply crates containing mixed loot.
Field equipment — use a battery-powered flashlight and a VHS camera with adjustable zoom.
Detailed environments — discover worn wallpaper, puddles, wall markings, and flickering fluorescent fixtures.
KV31-style thresholds — experiment with custom walk-through portals featuring views into the destination.
Custom presentation — themed title and pause screens complete the Backrooms atmosphere.

Development status

Experimental and in active development. This version focuses on Level 0. Level 1 and progression are unfinished or disabled. Start with a new test world and back up your saves.
