Block by Block

Minecraft has a generally fast pacing and most players opt to beat the Ender Dragon and loot end cities before even getting a base. This modpack attempts to fix this while also giving the game a refreshing atmosphere. The player is now forced to explore the world to obtain the Eyes to activate the End Portal and the dungeons some of these eyes are found in have been revamped – bigger, better, harder. The tool progression is also more difficult – wood and stone pickaxes are removed and replaced with inferior flint tools. Even when you overcome the initial difficulties the seasons and lack of tools bring you, the game will only get harder – mobs have a difficulty progression which is triggered twice.

This modpack gives a nice dynamic between a slower pacing and a slightly more realistic survival experience.
