Madum Veinmine makes gathering wood, mining ore veins, and clearing straight lines of blocks easier. Hold a dedicated key, preview the selection with white outlines, and break the first block to start harvesting.

## Features

### Mine ore veins
Harvest up to **64 connected ore blocks of the same type** with a suitable pickaxe. Diagonal connections are included, and normal tool requirements still apply.

### Chop trees
Cut up to **256 connected logs of the same type** with an axe. Diagonal connections help follow branches, while leaves decay naturally.

### Mine in straight lines
For ordinary blocks, the same key automatically selects a **straight line of identical blocks** based on the face you target:

– A side face selects a horizontal line extending into the block.
– The top face selects a vertical column downward.
– The bottom face selects a vertical column upward.

The line stays on one axis, even when you look at an angle: no diagonal or staircase paths. There is **no fixed length limit**. Mining stops at air, a different block type, an unbreakable or unsuitable block, or the edge of loaded chunks. It also stops if your tool breaks or you switch tools. Long lines are processed progressively.

Ore veins and logs keep their connected-group behavior.

### Preview your selection
Hold the veinmine key while targeting a block with a suitable tool. **White outlines** show the planned selection, including blocks hidden behind other blocks.

### Choose your key
The default key is **V**, held while breaking the first block. It is separate from sneaking and can be changed under:

**Options → Controls → Key Binds → Trees and ores → Veinmine (hold)**

### Keep normal tool mechanics
Blocks use Minecraft’s normal breaking behavior:

– Normal drops and experience.
– Enchantments such as Fortune and Silk Touch.
– Normal durability consumption for each block, including enchantment effects.

## How to use

1. Equip a suitable tool: a pickaxe for stone and ores, or an axe for logs.
2. Aim at the first block. For ordinary blocks, choose the face that sets the line direction.
3. Hold **V**, or your custom key.
4. Check the white selection outlines.
5. Break the first block to start harvesting.

To break just one block, release the key before starting. Releasing the key does not cancel a line that has already started; switching tools stops it.

## Installation

**Minecraft Java 26.3 — Fabric**

Requirements:

– Fabric Loader **0.19.5 or newer**.
– Fabric API compatible with Minecraft **26.3**.
– **Java 25**.

Place the mod’s `.jar` file in your instance’s `mods` folder, then restart Minecraft.

### Multiplayer
Install **Madum Veinmine and Fabric API on both the client and the server**. Installing the mod only on your client will not enable vein mining on a server without it.

## Good to know

– Only identical block types are connected. Regular and deepslate ore variants are handled separately.
– Player-placed logs are included. Release the key before breaking logs in your builds if you only want to remove one block.
– Touching trees of the same log type may be included in the same selection.
– Connected ore and log searches stay within 16 blocks horizontally and 32 blocks vertically of the starting block, in loaded chunks.
– The outline shows the planned selection. Tool breakage or server protections may stop harvesting before the whole selection is cleared.
