Cogs & Clouds is a curated NeoForge 1.21.1 modpack built around Create: Aeronautics, blending mechanical engineering with airship exploration, a player-driven economy, and long-term colony building. Every mod was hand-picked to work together into one cohesive progression arc — from your first cogwheel to a fleet of custom-built airships drifting over a growing empire.

✈️ Core Themes

Take Flight — Design, build, and pilot your own airships with Create: Aeronautics and its supporting addons. Balloon envelopes, propulsion, and flight dynamics are all simulated, not scripted — what you build actually has to fly.

Automate Everything — Create’s signature kinetic contraptions form the backbone of the pack, extended with a wide net of community addons covering food production, metalwork, trains, generators, and more. 

Build an Economy — A custom economy powered by Create: Numismatics gives currency real weight, whether you’re trading with friends or running your own shops.

Grow a Colony — MineColonies is fully integrated, letting you found and manage a thriving settlement alongside your industrial and aerial ambitions. You can also compete using ColonyRank.

Progress with Purpose — FTB Quests ties the whole modpack together with a structured, guided questline, so there’s always a clear next goal instead of an overwhelming mod list to figure out alone. (WIP)
