Auto S-tap

Auto S-tap is a lightweight client-side Fabric mod that automates the S-tap in Minecraft PvP.

Toggle key: turn it on/off anytime with J (shows an "ON / OFF" message above the hotbar). Rebind it in Options → Controls → Auto S-tap.

What it does: while enabled, every time you hit a living entity (player or mob) while holding W, the mod releases W and holds S for a couple of ticks, then hands control back to your real W press. That stops your forward momentum right after the hit (so you don’t run into the opponent and lose the combo), and because forward movement stops, your sprint is reset too – the next hit is a sprint-knockback hit again.

Legit input path: the mod does not send any packets itself. It only rewrites the client’s movement input for the tap ticks – exactly what happens when you tap S by hand, just tick-perfect every time.

Settings (config/autostap.json, created on first launch):

• tapTicks (default 2) – how many ticks S is held (1 tick = 50 ms); 4–5 gives a longer step back that pulls you out of the opponent’s reach
• onlyWhenMovingForward (default true) – only tap when W was held at the moment of the hit
• playersOnly (default false) – ignore mobs, react to player hits only
• doubleTapWhenNoSprintKey (default true) – if you sprint by double-tapping W instead of a sprint key, the mod adds a real double tap after the S-tap so vanilla starts the sprint again
• enabledOnStart (default true) – start enabled when the game launches

It never triggers on end crystals, boats or other non-living entities, so it plays nicely with Auto Crystal.

Requirements: Fabric Loader, Fabric API, Minecraft 1.21.8 – 1.21.11, Java 21. Client side only.
