介绍
Bellringer
Villagers have rights now. No boxes, no boats, no basements.
Bellringer is the new name of Villager Union.
Villagers trade fairly when they are at work: at their own workstation, in a real shop, during work hours. Lock one
in a 1×1 cell or a boat and the union steps in: it overcharges or won’t trade at all, and keep at it, and the whole
village rallies against you at the bell. Build it a proper shop instead, and it trades cheaper, levels up faster,
makes what sells out right in front of you and, once a master, takes special orders for gear no trade gives.
The mod doesn’t ban trading halls. It makes an honest market worth more than a basement full of prisoners, and it
fixes the reason those basements exist: finding the librarian with the right book.
What you get
- Fair prices. The price follows how the villager is doing: normal at its shop, dearer away from it, after hours,
without a shop or locked in, and no trade at all in a boat. A colored line over the trading screen tells you why,
and no discount drops a price below a floor, so a cured villager in a box doesn’t sell for nothing. - Stall, Shop, Store. A workstation near the bell is a stall; add a roof, light, a sign and a chest and it is a
shop; a real building with walls, a door, a counter and every station of the trade is a store. Better shops trade
cheaper and level their villager up faster. The houses a village is built with are shops already. - The villagers’ union. Cage them, hit them, overwork them or break their beds, and the village rallies: placards,
children with little flags, a petition for you to sign, and nobody trades. Ignore it and the picketers break the cell
open, the village boycotts you and its iron golem comes to warn you. Treat the village well and one day it gathers
at the bell to thank you. A union tablet from the cartographer shows where you stand, drawn in chalk. A “Villager
Union” advancement tab has 25 to earn. - Villagers at work. Buy out a weaponsmith’s swords and it forges more in front of you: ingot in the lava, hammer
on the anvil, quench, grindstone. Every profession has its own round. No forge, no iron sword; no grindstone, a
dull one. Restocks come twice a day, not every ten minutes. - Special orders. A master takes orders for gear no trade gives: sign the paper form, wait three days, sign
“Received”. Diamond gear with three to five enchantments, books, maps; good, excellent or a masterwork, and you only
see which when you collect it. - Village calendar. Market days, when the villagers trade round the bell a little cheaper, and a day off a week,
when they rest. A wall calendar shows the dates. - Rival shops and showcases. Shops of the same trade at one bell bring each other’s prices down. A showcase for the
front of a shop takes the look of its trade and shows what the shopkeeper sells. - Rich villages. A rarer variant of every village biome, with 130 hand-built shop houses. A store is yours to build.
- Labor laws and contracts. Set the working day at the bell; overworked villagers tire and take sick leave. Hire a
villager for a few emeralds and it follows you to a new workstation, the humane way to move villagers. - Merchant’s Ledger and Blueprints. An album of every profession’s trades and what its shop needs. A workshop
blueprint for each of the 13 professions, plus your own, as a see-through ghost you build layer by layer, alone
or with friends. - Market Board and Shop Sign. The board lists every trader of the village, with every offer, and a search finds
the librarian with Mending. The sign shows whether the shop is open and gives a redstone signal. An empty map on
the board becomes a map of the village with an icon on every shop. - Village market. What you sell goes to a warehouse at the bell and the village uses it up: short of a good,
villagers pay better, flooded, worse. - Creative tab with a showcase for each trade and a hint under every item’s name.
Try it. /fairtrade demo builds a street of 13 workshops around you, every villager at work.
Compatibility
- Minecraft 26.2, 26.3 and 1.21.1, on Fabric (requires Fabric API) or NeoForge.

How it was made
The code was written with an AI assistant (Claude) following my design: I came up with the features, made the
decisions and tested them in game. The icon is mine. The ledger texture started as the assistant’s draft and I
finished it in Aseprite. The market board, shop sign and placard models are by martyr_1, with thanks; the houses of
the rich villages are built by _gerostray_; bombarik gave ideas and tested. The other textures are the assistant’s
placeholders.
Mod Menu.
Код написан с помощью ИИ-ассистента (Claude) по моему замыслу. Модели доски, вывески и таблички сделал martyr_1,
дома богатых деревень построил _gerostray_, bombarik подкидывал идеи и тестировал.
