Some QOL (Quality of Life) changes have been made to make normal chest and inventory management easier as well as making the game run better on all systems. This extends to mods like Jade (New WAYLA) that allows you to know what your looking for regardless of the texture pack and mods. 

The minimap and waystone make traversing the huge Minecraft’s world that little bit easier by allowing you to save locations and making long distance travel a little bit easier.

Minecolonies allows you to create your own town and build it in a sprawling city that you can look over or have operating while you go check out that bastion you saw earlier. 

Twilight forest adds for a end game goal to keep you on your toes after beating the ender dragon and making the beacon.

Overall RomanCraft just changes the game enough to make it a new experience from vanilla without moving away too much and making things too easy.
