Viv’s Nature: Dungeons 2 inspired graphics

Client-side visual mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge) with visuals inspired by Minecraft Dungeons 2. Changes grass, foliage, water, lava, sky, weather and terrain without replacing textures and without requiring a shader pack.

FEATURES

Grass
– 3D grass blades on grass blocks, coloured from the block’s own texture
– Blades sway with wind and gusts and bend around players and mobs
– Several blade shapes (wavy, curled, bushy, wheat-like, frond), distributed by biome
– Short and tall grass plants replaced by matching tufts
– Grass sides connected on slopes
– Adjustable colour variation

Foliage
– Bushier leaves
– Plants and leaves sway with the wind (vanilla renderer only)

Water
– Transparency that fades with depth
– Reflections of sky and surroundings
– Refraction, waves, flowing rivers
– Foam along shores

Lava
– Texture no longer repeats block by block
– Smooth glow when seen from a distance
– Warm light on surroundings, yellow near, red far

Sky
– Thick square clouds with rounded edges
– Cloud shadows on the ground
– No clouds inside buildings

Weather
– Lighter rain and snow, far fewer drops and flakes
– Rain and snow lean and drift with wind and gusts

Terrain
– Natural blocks blend into each other at their borders
– Snow layers extend slightly over their edges
– Optional texture noise reduction, stronger at distance
– Building blocks (bricks, planks, etc.) are left untouched

Effects
– Explosions with flash, fireball, ground ring and sparks, scaled by explosion power
– Drifting smoke in the Nether

CONFIGURATION

– Every feature can be adjusted or disabled in game with sliders
– Changes apply live
– Block lists for grass and blending accept blocks from other mods
