Commons

Commons brings reference articles from compatible Fabric mods into one in-game library. Each compatible mod supplies its own articles and gameplay; Commons provides the interface, search, navigation and multiplayer synchronisation.

In game

Open Commons from the pause menu while in a world, or assign Open Commons under Controls → Key Binds → Commons. The keybinding is unbound by default. Browse or search articles, follow related topics and use Back or Escape to return through reading history. Module labels identify which mod supplied each article. The interface also supports keyboard navigation and narration.

On a server, Commons synchronises available knowledge content to connected clients. Reopen the library after a server reload to see updated content. Commons runs on its own, but its library is empty without a compatible mod supplying articles. It adds no specialist gameplay.

Installation

• Minecraft 26.3: Commons 0.1.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.3 or newer, Fabric API 0.161.0+26.3 or newer and Java 25 or newer.
• Minecraft 26.2: Commons 0.1.1, Fabric Loader 0.19.3 or newer, Fabric API 0.158.0+26.2 or newer and Java 25 or newer.

Install the matching Commons and Fabric API files on both client and server, alongside the compatible mod that needs Commons. Follow that mod’s specific Commons requirement. Vintner 1.4.0 for Minecraft 26.3 requires Commons 0.1.2; Vintner 1.3.0 for 26.2 does not require Commons.
