Overview

Bee Pinecones is a NeoForge mod that expands bee behavior to create a living, self-sustaining ecosystem. Bees will collect fallen pinecones and pollen, relocating them to suitable planting locations away from existing trees and flowers. Watch your world slowly transform as bees spread forests and flower meadows naturally.

Features

🌱Pinecone Dispersal

  – Pinecones drop from trees and bees will pick them up
  – Bees carry pinecones away from parent trees and drop them on suitable soil
  – Pinecones eventually grow into new trees, spreading forests organically

🌸Pollen System

  – Bees collect and carry pollen items
  – Pollen applied to crops provides instant growth (like bone meal)
  – Pollen dropped on valid ground grows into flowers
  – Bees intelligently avoid placing pollen near existing flowers

🐝Smart Bee Behavior

  – Bees only operate within a configurable radius of their nest
  – Spacing rules prevent overcrowding of trees and flowers

🍯Colony Growth

  – Bees automatically enter love mode after pollinating when population is low
  – Population scales based on nearby nest count
  – Defender bees protect the colony once it reaches a sufficient size. Thes bees will automatically attack hostile mobs, and only attack the player if provoked. They return to the hive once threats are removed
