This mod adds the crossed! its a minecraft mod adaption of the comic “CROSSED” by Garth ennis.
Content warning: the mod has extreme violence, depravity and disturbing gameplay elements.

Back up your world before playing. The Peaceful trap wipes your inventory, and the Awakening event can disconnect you.

THE INFECTED

They are conscious, aware that they are in game, so they try to destroy it, they are like player griefers, they’ll do any torture to any mobs, they can’t stop on what are they doing.

A bite from an infected mob is enough to start the C-virus. It blinds, nauseates and poisons you for about 15 seconds, and then you turn. Villagers, pillagers, vindicators, evokers, witches, wandering traders, piglins, endermen, creepers, skeletons, vexes, iron golems and even other players can all be infected. Infected players hunt the living and can pass the virus on.

If you want out, /uninfect cures you.

They think
Infected mobs don’t just wander at you. They follow leaders, investigate noises, lure you out with fake wandering, and call for help. They also scavenge chests, mine ore, craft weapons, ride horses, use elytras, drive boats and taunt you in chat. Hordes spawn out of nowhere, and you’ll find hanged bodies and ruined structures in the world.

You’re being tracked
From day 2, animals stop spawning and a HUD tracks your Trace, Heat and Disturbance. Sprinting, jumping, breaking blocks and opening containers draw them toward you. Crouching helps you disappear. Your hunger also drains three times faster, so there’s no easy way to hide forever.

• Saw and Intestine: makeshift weapons by the infected
• Spine: a heavy melee weapon.
• Crossed Disguise: lets you walk among them, but only for 12 blocks. (right click on a block to wear them)

These mobs are intelligent, they can coordinate attacks, ambush.

These mobs are somewhat behaves like a player.

Each day, your world starts to destroy itself, hostile mobs avoid you, animals start to go extinct.

So what are you gonna do now? Your basic survival needs are gone.

The infected are sadistic, unmorally driven humanoids who hunt targets, build/set traps, smash walls, start fires, and plant TNT. They laugh, cheer, and celebrate when they spot a player

The infected do not hunt in silence. When they spot a target, the horde collectively cheers, laughs, and celebrates their impending violence, creating an intensely eerie auditory warning before they strike.
