Backbone

A test of willpower and creativity, Backbone challenges the player through Tough as Nails and Epic Siege Mod to survive in a world that just flat out doesn’t want them to live. Tinker’s Survival is there to make the player forge their tools and armor all the way from start to finish, using their own custom designs to suit their playstyle. Thermal Expansion, Immersive Engineering, and Open Modular Turrets give a permanent solution to the constant nightly sieges as well as giving the player additional problems to solve. I also added in a few personal balance changes, mainly removing dragonsteel (to make sure the player doesn’t get too strong) as well as several tough as nails items and blocks. Among the TAN items and blocks removed are : the heating coil, the cooling coil, the portable thirst quencher, and the portable temperature regulator (I removed the last two by configuring them to be literally unusable). With all of these items removed, the only non-environmentally based heating/cooling comes from the Temperature Regulator block which requires RF to run (100 RF/t). Expect to be using environmental methods (like fireplaces and water pools) for a good while. As for portable temperature regulation, Jelled Slime and Wool make excellent materials for Construct’s Armory equipment that cools or insulates you. Waves of mobs will also attack you every three days or so (as I roll out more updates, expect the attacks to include more than just your run of the mill zombies and skeletons).
