MineZero — Return by Death

A mod that brings the «Return by Death» ability from Re:Zero into Minecraft.
Death is no longer the end – time rewinds, and all players return to their last checkpoint.

⚙️ How It Works

• When a player takes fatal damage, the death screen is skipped – instead, an instant rollback to the last saved state occurs.

• Restored: inventory, armor, health, hunger, experience, position, and even blocks around the player within a 64-block radius.

• After returning, the player receives Blindness and Slowness for 3 seconds, along with a custom sound.

📌 Checkpoints

• Automatically created every 300 seconds (5 minutes).

• Interval can be changed via command:
  /gamerule rezerodeath:checkpointInterval <seconds>
  (0 – every tick, -1 – automatic checkpoints disabled).

• A checkpoint is created immediately upon first joining the world.

• If no checkpoint exists, it is created at the moment of death.

😈 Satella’s Punishment

The ability must never be revealed.
If a player types one of the forbidden phrases in chat (e.g., «return by death», «I died and came back», etc.), they are inflicted with Wither and Blindness for 10 seconds.

🏆 Advancements

The mod adds 8 unique advancements, including:

• «First Return»

• «Experienced Returnee» (5 deaths)

• «Master of Death» (10 deaths)

• «Cause Collector» (die from 5 different damage sources)

• «Suicide»

• «Chatty Subaru» (receive Satella’s punishment)

• «Secretive» (avoid punishment for 5 in-game days)

• «Reality Restorer» (restore 100+ blocks in one rollback)

👥 Multiplayer

When one player dies, all players on the server are rolled back. Each returns to their own last checkpoint and hears the return sound.
Penalty effects (Blindness + Slowness) apply only to the one who died.

📂 Installation

1. Install Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1.

2. Place the mod file into the mods folder.

3. Launch the game and never speak of your power.
