Exploration

With the 1.12 port of Realistic Terrain Generation—along with Stellar Sky, Dynamic Surroundings, Weather Storms & Tornadoes, and Pollution of the Realms—the game world is more comfy and enveloping than standard packs. 

Ancient Warfare provides unique structure generation across sprawling landscapes, which may be traversed on-foot or by hang glider, motorboat, or submarine in addition to traditional methods. 

Nomadic Tents allow players to explore freely with portable homes suitable for the avid world walker. 

Technology

You will not find multiple catch-all tech mods in this pack, instead we’ve picked a small handful of niche tech mods with a fun feel to complement one another. Multiblock systems and large factories are the norm. 

Automation is an engaging challenge to be tackled across multiple modded and vanilla tools. Redstone, computers, rats, drones, NPCs, railways, and player ingenuity will be foundational to how integrated systems unfold. 

Power storage is limited, and players can coordinate to fine-tune systems to produce in-line with demands of the power grid, using power generation from Magneticraft, Immersive Engineering, or Nuclearcraft, and automating control with mods like OpenComputers, RFTools, etc.

Infrastructure

Roadrunner provides for speed-enhancing blocks for road systems. You will find common road materials useful for speedy travel. 

Power might be distributed across bases with power grids using Immersive Posts, or players might conduct fuel (or charged energy cell) shipments across Railcraft infrastructure, ancient warfare courier mailboxes, etc. 

Magic

Delve into “alternative” studies with mods like Bewitchment (the spiritual successor to Witchery) and Mahou Tsukai (some kind of spell mod), enhance your character with Bountiful Baubles, and be careful around the giant snake women.
