Takoclyne Novus

What is Takoclyne Novus?

     The modpack focuses on tech as the main resource gathering and processing method, while not requiring it to play through the game. A dodge and wall jump mechanic make combat and movement much more enjoyable. Various fantasy and non fantasy mobs make the world more interesting to traverse, while a new dimension, structures and loot make exploring much more worthwhile. Magic can be learned to be used as a utility or for combat, which will be useful for the increased difficulty that results from defeating the game’s bosses. For a simple Rpg-Like progression without gating any features, health can be upgraded to three times the normal amount and players can choose an origin upon first spawning which includes various effects that will change how they play. The enchanting system has been made to be predictable and overall far less limiting, even allowing higher than normal enchant levels. Live nomadically and see what the land has to offer, use one of the many new building options to make the house of your dreams, or start your own town with minecolonies, how you play is entirely up to you.

Tech

     Extremely powerful ore processing, automation and power production allows you to get the most out of the resources available to you. Energy based gear as well as more technological transport options provide more options for getting around the world. Elevators, doors, and entire moving rooms can be made with a kinetic energy based system if you prefer a lower tech approach to automation. High tech and low tech storage options are also available to accomodate all the extra items including backpacks with modular storage and feature upgrades.

Magic

     Custom spells can be created in an intuitive way by combining certain effects and casting methods to get the desired result. New arrow types make archers much more effective. Enchantments can be applied to many more items and their levels are no longer limited. With anvils using less experience and never hitting a limit, you can finally have the ultimate enchanted weapon you always wanted to make.

Rpg

     You have the option to choose an origin when you first spawn, each origin changes the way you can interact with gameplay elements and provides buffs and debuffs that make each origin unique to play. There are many craftable and lootable items that give the player useful buffs as long as they are equipped providing no shortage of dungeon loot to collect. The game more difficult by default, and is further increased after the wither and the Ender Dragon are defeated. Fantasy minibosses provide strong gear with unique effects to combat the increased difficulty. Occasionally hearts will be dropped which you can craft to make health canisters which can increase your health up to four times the standard amount.

Exploration

     There will be many structures throughout the world to explore, some providing shelter, other providing unimaginable loot. Not all of these structures are safe, it is your choice to determine if the reward might be worth it. Biomes and world generation are improved. Many new mobs will spawn that either provide a challenge, or make the world much more alive. Some of these mobs may be present in other dimensions such as The Nether, End, or the long forgotten land that lies beneath the bedrock.
