Skills Pro

Skills Pro is a progression mod for Minecraft that slows down equipment progression and makes survival feel more rewarding.

The mod is still growing, so feedback and ideas are very welcome. If you have suggestions for the skill tree, new skills, balance changes, abilities, progression, compatibility, or anything that should be added, changed, improved, or fixed — feel free to share your ideas in the comments.

Instead of allowing players to instantly use strong gear, the mod adds a skill system. Players must level up different skills before they can properly use stronger weapons, armor, and tools.

Skills

The mod currently includes these skill categories:

Combat

Archery

Mining

Woodcutting

Farming

Defense

Each skill controls access to related equipment. For example, combat affects melee weapons, mining affects pickaxes and shovels, defense affects armor and shields, and farming affects hoes and fishing rods.

Skill Tree

The mod now includes a skill tree system. Players can unlock nodes, spend skill points, buy additional skill points with XP, and gradually improve their character through different progression branches.

The skill tree adds more freedom to character development and makes progression feel more personal. Future updates may expand the tree with new nodes, passive bonuses, active abilities, and combined skills.

Why use this mod?

Skills Pro is made for players and modpack creators who want slower, more meaningful progression. It makes equipment upgrades feel earned instead of instant.

The goal is not to completely replace Minecraft progression, but to make it more gradual, balanced, and interesting.
