grandeloies’s IRON SMP

grandeloies’s IRON SMP is a Minecraft modpack that changes the way you play and adds goals for you. It combines a custom mod full of new weapons, foes and a brand-new dimension with a large questline, the L_Ender’s Cataclysm bosses, and a carefully chosen set of quality-of-life mods, making it a perfect fit for an SMP.

The Iron SMP Mod

• Emerald Pickaxe: Mining an emerald ore with this pickaxe grants the “Hero of the Village” effect, making it easy to befriend villagers and secure great trades. It’s crafted from the new Emerald Plates, part of a full emerald compression system (Scrap, Ingot, Gem and Plate of Emerald).
• Lightning Sword: A powerful weapon with a 1 in 10 chance to summon a lightning strike when hitting enemies. It’s obtained through a smithing upgrade (Netherite Sword + Lightning + Lightning Upgrade template), turning combat into a high-risk, high-reward experience.
• Zombie Mage: A new zombie variant that spawns in the Overworld. Beware: hordes of Zombie Mages can approach, announced by a horn.
• Sceptre: Crafted with a Summoning Core and Blaze Rods, it lets you summon and command up to 8 zombie allies.
• Flash Ball: A throwable item that produces a bright flash effect on the screen. ⚠️ Photosensitivity warning: The Flash Ball creates intense flashing lights that may trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy. Player discretion is advised.
• Corrupted Iron: A new ore, with ingots, nuggets and blocks, used to craft the Summoning Core and other special items.
• Iron SMP Dimension: Craft the Iron SMP Dimension Igniter to open a portal to a whole new dimension, with its own biome, trees and “Iron” blocks. Beware of Molten Iron, a dangerous fluid that melts anything that falls into it.
• End Structures: Unique structures in the End, including an underground one hiding the Iron SMP Trim and Lightning Upgrade templates.
• Steve Corrupted: A hostile new mob lurking in the End, linked to the Endermen.
• Iron SMP Armor Trim: A new custom trim to personalize your armor.

Quests

The modpack includes a full quest book powered by FTB Quests, with goals to guide your progression:

• Iron SMP Mod: Quests about the mod’s content (Trim, Entity Kill, Structure).
• Iron SMP Quests: Progression chapters for the Overworld, Nether and End, plus Backpack and Waystones chapters.
• Cataclysm Extreme: A challenging questline built around the bosses of L_Ender’s Cataclysm.
• Repeatable: Repeatable quests to keep earning rewards.

• Exploration & Storage: Sophisticated Backpacks and Storage, Waystones, Xaero’s Minimap and World Map, and Lootr for per-player loot.
