To make a Golem Defender, you’ll need a special item known as the Golem defender gem (it can be made in the crafting table) Once you have this  gem in hand, simply right click with it in the world, and your very own Golem Defender will spawn on you

Functionally, the Golem Defender behaves much like a classic Iron Golem. patrolling your area and protecting you from hostile mobs, but remember he can be placed anywhere! not just within villages. That means if you need some defence in your home base or need to go cave exporing, you can bring an golem defender down with you.
