Madgique’s XRay

A Forge mod for Minecraft 1.12.2 that lets you see through blocks to find ores quickly, with a clean in-game UI to pick exactly what you want to see.

This is a maintained fork of Advanced XRay by MiKeY, focused on bug fixes and improvements for Minecraft 1.12.2.

Improvements over the original

Accurate block tracking: each block state (variant/metadata) is handled individually, so what you add is exactly what gets highlighted
Searchable list shows every exact block variant, clearly labeled (e.g. Marble [marbletype=raw])
Enhanced rendering: optional translucent fill inside highlighted blocks and a dark outline border underneath the colored lines
Hex colour input (#rrggbb, paste-friendly, selects all on click) alongside the RGB sliders, with a live colour preview
Adjustable outline thickness

How To Use

Using XRay

Press [Default] Backslash to toggle XRay on and off
Press [Default] Z to open the in-game GUI

Adding Ores

Open the GUI Editor pressing [Default] Z
Select the method you’d like to use to add a block: either From hand, What you can see, or By searching a list
Modify the Name, Color, and anything else you’d like to change
Click add and Enable the Block
