A TACZ (Timeless and Classics Zero) addon that gives guns to mobs and makes them shoot.
GunGrant lets zombies, skeletons and pillagers carry and fire TACZ weapons. No new items or blocks are added — everything is driven by a single config file.
Features
- Mobs use the real TACZ firing, reloading and bolting logic, so muzzle flash, sounds and animations all play normally
- Mobs shoot while moving. Ranged mobs strafe and keep their distance, melee mobs advance while firing and switch to melee up close
- Zombies and skeletons will walk over and pick up TACZ guns lying on the ground
- Guns are picked at random from whatever gun packs you have installed, so no gun IDs need to be configured
- Accuracy, range, burst size, fire rate, reload time, spawn chance and engagement distance are all configurable per mob
Defaults

Zombies, skeletons and piglins are matched by class, so modded variants are covered automatically.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1 + Forge
- TACZ 1.1.0 or later
- At least one gun pack installed
Usage
Drop the jar into mods, launch once, then edit config/gungrant.json if you want. Run /gungrant reload to apply changes in game.
/gungrant listguns— list all loaded gun IDs/gungrant reload— reload the config/gungrant arm— apply the config to nearby mobs immediately
Leave a mob’s guns list empty to have it pick randomly from every installed gun, or fill it in with weighted entries to control exactly what spawns.
Required on both client and server.
