Dimmer lighting or low visibility: Night might be darker than normal, with fog, moonless nights, or random light flickers that add tension
Limited resources: Food, materials, or healing items may be much more scarce, forcing you to scavenge and carefully plan your survival
Hunger and thirst mechanics might be tweaked to increase the tension and make finding food more critical
