GregTech Distilled

Very opinionated GT Modern modpack. Having played most of the mainstream ones to some degree, most GT packs have some design elements that I consider myself a fan of and ones i very much dont. This pack is an attempt to, if nothing else, prove to myself that this specific corner of pack design can exist.

The design manifesto is present at the github repo, and early releases have begun rolling out. The pack is currently in an early playtest phase, feedback through Discord is appreciated

To quote the manifesto for a TL;DR:

Every one of these modpacks (nomi ceu, statech industry, gtnh, tj) are to be drawn from to create one ideal GregTech modpack to my tastes. Up to this point, there is no GregTech modpack that

• does not waste obnoxious amounts of your time, while not being overbearingly easy to the point of being potentially boring,
• does not require substantial use of other mods to finish within a reasonable time frame,
• has survival elements that are present but not overbearing,
• has post UHV content,

all in one package.

This is the conundrum that I hope the solve with this modpack. I do not claim or even hope that it will surpass any of the listed packs above in sheer quality (it probably wont), but it will be a curated experience to suit my specific tastes, and I hope that others can enjoy the experience and help me improve it. Nothing, and i mean nothing in this document is set in stone, every part of it is subject to change. However, what is currently here will guide development going forward.

I’m advertising it this early in the hope that other people who might have similar ideas can contribute and help me better formulate/test ideas.
