Taer Condia – Ruins Rebirth

Taer Condia – Ruins Rebirth is a  ‘rebuild civilization after the apocalypse’  themed modpack. The world type is intended to be a single dimension consisting of a  partially destroyed abandoned modern world spanning city as provided by the Lost Cities mod and ‘nature reclaimed’ areas. Game play is centered around developing a colony/village  using the Minecolonies mod for colonial aspects and 2 villager eggs (starter kit mod), exploring and reclaiming the mob infested city and eventually re-populating it. 

Primary Mods

World Generation Mods

• • The Lost Cities – Generates abandoned cities across the world consisting on building ranging in height from single story to sky scrapers with basements to match. The mobs congregate within these buildings with multiple spawners per floor, making them extremely dangerous in the right, or wrong, circumstances. On that same token, if conquered and controlled, they are a invaluable resources.
  • Biomes O’ Plenty – Additional biomes for nature reclaimed areas.
  • Repurposed Structures (Forge) – Additional world structures.
  • Alex’s Mobs – Large number of additional passive and some hostile mobs, they supply a significant source of ‘military power’ for colonial forces. Of note the Emu’s have a special ability to dodge arrows and Kangaroo’s can wear armor and use weapons, along with store good in their pouches. Both can be tamed and breed.

City Building Mods

• • MineColonies – Enables creation of colonies and the immigrations of Colonist that can produce goods. Once your population of Colonists (not villagers) reaches a certain level you can be raided by mobs.
  • More Villagers – Additional villager jobs.

Quality of Life Mods

• • Hwyla – HUD info about what you are looking at.
  • Just Enough Items (JEI) – Enhanced recipe book, very useful for looking up recipes from mods, especially Minecolonies.
  • Death Chest – Keep your gear, just have to get to it and you have a book that tells you where it’s at.
  • Fast Leaf Decay – Leaves decay rapidly and drop their loot.

Crafting & Gear

• • Tetra – Greatly expands tool crafting and repair with a modular parts system that allows for mixed material, customized tools that can effectively level up.
  • Tetra Pak – Adds additional material for Tetra
  • Comforts (Forge) – Adds sleeping bag and hammock recipes, sleeping bags are useful for sleeping in the wild.

Pets Mods

• • FriendlyFire – You don’t damage your pets, but be careful as projectiles will bounce back at you.
  • Save Your Pets – You can save your pets lives after they would normally die if you have the materials.

Farming & Food

• • AppleSkin – Hud info on hunger & food
  • Growthcraft Community Edition – Additional crops and farming enhancements.
  • Croptopia [FABRIC/FORGE]– Additional crops and farming enhancements.
  • Flower Seeds – Grow flowers from seeds.
  • Grass Seeds (Forge) – Grow grass from wheat seeds, very important for raising kangaroos.
