Antygravity

Ever wanted to walk on the ceiling? Now you can — and better yet, you can make your friends do it too.

Antygravity adds a fully-featured inverted gravity effect to Minecraft: drink a potion (or get hit by an arrow!) and gravity flips upside down. Your screen smoothly rotates 180°, you fall up, land on the ceiling and walk on it like it’s the floor — jumping, sneaking, climbing ladders and vines all work exactly like they do on the ground, just mirrored.

And when you’re ready to take control of gravity itself, build the Gravity Anchor Reactor — a glowing multiblock that bends gravity across a huge area around your base.

✨ Features

A real gravity flip, not a levitation clone. The effect inverts gravity with the same force that normally pulls you down. Ceilings become walkable floors: you can sprint, jump, crouch at edges without falling off, step onto slabs, and even climb ladders upside down.

Lift the very ground you stand on! Splash and Lingering Potions of Anti-Gravity don’t just affect entities—they lift blocks too! A chunk of the terrain will break loose, fly upward, and stick to the ceiling, becoming fully solid and walkable. When the effect wears off, the blocks gently fall back into their original places. Lingering potions dig even deeper, excavating and lifting up to 30 layers of terrain.

Smooth camera & model animation. The screen rolls over in half a second with buttery easing — and everyone around you sees your character flip upside down too. Full multiplayer support: other players see inverted players and mobs correctly, nametags included.

Beware of inverted fall damage. “Falling” upward has consequences! While your very first landing on the ceiling after getting the effect is magically cushioned and completely safe, subsequent upward falls into ceilings will deal regular fall damage. Water, lava, ladders, and elytra work exactly as you’d expect to break your upward fall.

Works on mobs! Shoot a zombie with an anti-gravity arrow and watch it fall into the sky. Great for combat, traps, or just having fun with dispensers.

🧪 Brewing

  1. Water Bottle + Nether Wart → Awkward Potion
  2. Awkward Potion + Chorus Fruit → Chorus Potion
  3. Chorus Potion + Shulker Shell → Potion of Anti-Gravity (0:30)

Extend it with Redstone (1:30), make it a Splash Potion with Gunpowder, or Lingering with Dragon’s Breath — all three forms work.

🏹 Anti-Gravity Arrows

Standard Arrows: Surround one Potion of Anti-Gravity with 8 Arrows in a crafting table → 8 Anti-Gravity Arrows. Any player or mob you hit gets flipped for 2 seconds. Works with bows, crossbows and dispensers.

Upgraded Potion-Tipped Arrows: Want to weaponize the terrain? Combine an Anti-Gravity Arrow with a Splash or Lingering Potion of Anti-Gravity in your crafting grid. On impact, this upgraded arrow acts exactly like the thrown potion: it lifts the blocks at the hit location into the air and applies the gravity-flipping effect to surrounding entities!

🌌 The Gravity Anchor Reactor

A multiblock structure powered by Gravitium that projects a gravity zone up to 60 blocks around it. When it’s complete, its core wakes up: the capsule charges, unlocks and its parts levitate around a glowing crystal, while purple fire bursts from the stabilizers.

Building it (bottom to top):

Layer What to place
1 3×3 Gravitium Blocks + one block sticking out of each side (a diamond). One of those 4 tips must be the Gravity Console
2 Gravity Stabilizers on the 4 corners of the 3×3, Purple Stained Glass on the 4 sides, middle left empty
3 Anchor Core in the middle, Purple Stained Glass on the 4 sides
4 Purple Stained Glass on the 4 sides, middle left empty
5 The same diamond as layer 1, all Gravitium Blocks
6 A plus of 5 Gravitium Blocks

You need: 30 Gravitium Blocks, 4 Gravity Stabilizers, 12 Purple Stained Glass, 1 Anchor Core and 1 Gravity Console.

Choose what gravity does — open the Gravity Console, pick an effect and insert its catalyst:

Effect Catalyst Level What it does
Gravity Lock Shulker Shell I Turns anti-gravity off in the zone and protects blocks from being lifted
Safe Landing Phantom Membrane I No fall damage — on the floor or on the ceiling
Inversion Zone End Crystal II Inverts gravity for everyone in range
Mob Filtration Nether Star III Inverts gravity for hostile mobs only

Upgrade it to extend the range:

Level Range Upgrade cost
I 26 blocks —
II 40 blocks 8 Gravitium Blocks + 4 Ender Pearls
III 50 blocks 16 Gravitium Blocks + Heart of the Sea
IV 60 blocks 32 Gravitium Blocks + Nether Star

The console shows everything at a glance: available and locked effects, the current level and range, and a hint telling you what to do next.

💎 Gravitium

A rare End material that powers the reactor. Find it in End City treasure chests, or craft it from 4 Popped Chorus Fruit + 4 Amethyst Shards + 1 Ender Pearl (→ 4 Gravitium). Nine of them make a Gravitium Block.

🛡️ Gravity Gear & Blocks

Heavy Boots — while you wear them, nothing can flip your gravity. The perfect counter to someone throwing anti-gravity potions at you.

Gravity Anchor — a heavy block that neutralizes all anti-gravity within 16 blocks: entities stop flipping and blocks stay on the ground. Protects your base from a stray potion.

Anti-Gravity TNT — once lit (flint and steel, fire charge or redstone), it doesn’t fall: it floats up like a balloon and explodes against the ceiling. A siege tool for taking down sky bases.

anti-gravity TNT

Gravity Observer — a redstone sensor with a plumb bob inside. When something with inverted gravity comes within ~6 blocks, the bob flips upside down and it emits a full redstone signal. Build doors and traps that react to anti-gravity.

⚔️ Enchantments

Lead Feet (boots, I–IV) — each level slows down your upward fall while your gravity is flipped.

Gravitational Strike (sword, I–II) — instead of knocking enemies back, it launches them straight up. Incompatible with Knockback.
