Simply Ores aims to enhance the mining and caving experience by adding a multitude of ores and features underground in the Overworld and the Nether

Mod Information For Version 1.1.0:

The mod adds 9 new ores to the game, complete with full sets of tools and armor while prioritizing fun, balance and usage alongside modpacks: Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, Peridot, Onyx, Malachite, Morganite, Tin and Cobalt.

The mod also introduces new sets of tools and armor for 2 vanilla ores: Obsidian and Quartz.

Obsidian (New): Obsidian gear is slightly weaker than Netherite but with unlimited durability. Wearing a full set of Obsidian armor will grant you a Strength effect.

In order to craft Obsidian gear, you must first smelt Crying Obsidian into Obsidian Tears in a Blast Furnace. Then craft an Obsidian Ingot using 4 Obsidian Tears and 4 Cobalt Ingots. You can use Obsidian Ingots to upgrade Onyx gear into Obsidian gear in a Smithing Table. You also need an Obsidian Upgrade Smithing Template, which can be obtained in the Miner’s Cabin Structure, or traded with Master level Armorer, Toolsmith and Weaponsmith Villagers.

Ruby: Ruby generates rarely in the overworld. its tools and armor are slightly weaker than diamond. There’s also a Ruby Apple that fully restores your Hunger and Saturation. Wearing a full set of Ruby armor will grant you a Regeneration effect.

Sapphire: Sapphire generates only above sea level. its tools and armor are slightly stronger than ruby but with a bit less durability. Wearing a full set of Sapphire armor will grant you a Haste effect.

Onyx: The nether’s diamonds, Onyx generates most commonly in soul soil. its tools and armor are Diamond level with slightly different balancing. Wearing a full set of Onyx armor will grant you a Fire Resistance effect.

Topaz: Topaz generates in the overworld. its tools and armor provide a balance between iron and gold tools.

Peridot (Previously Jade): Peridot generates in the overworld. its tools and armor are Netherite level, however they have very low durability. Most commonly found right above Deepslate level.

Malachite: Malachite generates in similar y levels as copper in the overworld. its tools and armor are slightly weaker than iron but with almost double durability.

Tin (New): Tin is a metal ore that commonly generates in small chunks all over the Overworld. Its tools and armor are early game level, a bit weaker than Iron.

Cobalt (New): Cobalt is a metal ore that occasionally generates underground in the Overworld. Its tools and armor are all about speed, when it comes to mining, its almost as fast as gold, and with over double the durability of Iron. Wearing a full set of Cobalt armor will grant you a Speed Boost effect.

Morganite (New): Morganite generates in the nether as clusters in Morganite Geodes. Its tools and armor are around diamond level but with half the durability of Ruby gear. Wearing a full set of Morganite armor will grant you a Saturation effect.

Quartz: Quartz tools and armor are quite weak, stone level with higher durability, intended for early game.

Bone: Early game Bone tools are also present, they are easy to craft early game tools. However, there is no bone armor.

Miner’s Cabin: Miner’s Cabin is a new structure that generates underground in the Overworld where you will find useful loot for your mining expeditions.

Building Blocks: The mod includes the following building blocks: Onyx Marble, Pegmatite, Pegmatite Tiles, Cut Block varients for all the Ores in the mod.
