“Naturae Iter” is a modpack focused largely on a nostalgic & relaxing atmosphere, exploration and survival with TerraFirmaCraft as it’s centerpiece mod. Recipes are changed, removed, and added to reduce grinding and make new mods compatible. A brand new category in TFC’s guide book is added to help further.

Aside from TFC and it’s addons, the main category of mods is atmosphere and cosmetics, whether that’s sound, like the AmbientSounds5 mod, or looks, like Caelum.

Mobility

Since exploration is greatly rewarded, it is best to acquire a form of transportation. For this, you can use a horse (find out how to tame one in the TFC guide book), or one of the available boats (find out how to make one on the Firmaciv page in the guidebook). Grass slows the player down, but not horses. It is also a lot faster to travel up a river in a boat instead of walking around it. Or, you can use one of the aircraft from the Immersive Aircraft mod! Use the book entry as a guide.

Navigation

Navigation in this modpack isn’t as simple as in vanilla minecraft, and the credit for that goes to Firma: Civilization. You can no longer use the F3 menu to simply get your coordinates. Now, you will have to craft a sextant and a navigator’s timepiece to find out your current latitude and longitude, then note down both.

Cosmetic changes and the poles

Mods like Better Animations Collection and Not Enough Animations add fresh looks to both the player and some animals, while Visuality Reforged and Falling Leaves add atmosphere to the enviorment. The first thing you will notice at night is the new beatiful night sky, added by Caelum, which also causes the sun to tilt the more you go north or south. The poles are located at -10000z (90°N) and at 30000z (90°S), with the equator being at 10000z (0°).

Changed recipes

Many of the existing recipes are changed to better fit the modpack’s theme and reduce grinding, and new recipes are added to make mods such as exposure (a mod that adds photography), or Immersive Aircraft (a mod that adds aircraft) compatible. A new category in the book is also added to help with them.
