Ever wished you could turn your own Pokémon into an Alpha Pokémon?

Alpha Candy is a Cobblemon addon for Minecraft 1.21.1 that adds candies for transforming your Pokémon into Alpha Pokémon, purifying them, and applying advanced Alpha effects.

✨ Features

🍬 Alpha Candy

Use Alpha Candy on an owned Pokémon to attempt an Alpha transformation.

The success chance depends on the candy’s Alpha Essence level, which is set when preparing it in Cobblemon’s Cooking Pot.

Pokémon species included in the configured blacklist cannot be transformed.

🧪 Alpha Essence

Alpha Essence is a custom Cobblemon Cooking Pot seasoning. You can obtain it by using Purifying Candy on an existing Alpha Pokémon you no longer want.

The Cooking Pot has three seasoning slots, allowing you to prepare Alpha Candy with different Essence levels:

Alpha Essence	Success Chance
0 Essence	1%
1 Essence	33%
2 Essence	65%
3 Essence	97%

Each occupied Essence slot adds one Essence level, regardless of the number of items in that slot. Each occupied slot consumes one Alpha Essence when the candy is prepared.

The base success chance and the chance increase per Essence level can be customized through the configuration.

✨ Advanced Alpha Candy

Want a guaranteed Alpha transformation?

Advanced Alpha Candy guarantees the transformation and provides additional benefits:

• Increases your Pokémon’s level by 1.
• Maximizes its friendship.
• Applies the special Advanced Alpha mark.
• Sets Attack and Special Attack IVs to 31.
• Sets all other IVs to random values between 20 and 31.
• Never lowers existing IV values.

Pokémon with the Advanced Alpha mark also emit special violet particles from their eyes.

Changed your mind?

Purifying Candy removes the Alpha status and the Advanced Alpha mark from a Pokémon, while restoring its friendship.

Depending on the configuration, it can also return Alpha Essence and restore health.

Candy interactions include sound feedback:

• Successful transformations use the level-up sound.
• Purification and failed regular Alpha Candy attempts use the fire-extinguish sound.

🔗 Iotas Compatibility

Alpha Candy includes optional compatibility with Iotas. When Iotas is installed, additional Iota-related candies and features become available.

These candies can apply or remove Iota state and handle Iota marks, scale, and movement speed alongside Alpha transformations.

Advanced Iota Candy also provides additional IV benefits:

• Sets Speed IV to 31.
• Sets Defense and Special Defense IVs to random values between 20 and 31.
• Sets HP, Attack, and Special Attack IVs to random values between 10 and 20.
• Never lowers existing IV values.

Iotas is optional and is not required for Alpha Candy’s standard features.

⚙️ Configuration

Alpha Candy includes configuration options to customize the experience.

Settings are stored in:

config/alphacandy/main.json

Available options include:

• Base Alpha transformation chance.
• Chance increase per Alpha Essence level.
• Maximum Alpha Essence level.
• Pokémon species blacklist.
• Whether Purifying Candy returns Alpha Essence.
• Minimum and maximum Alpha Essence reward.
• Healing amount when using a candy (0 disables healing).

These options allow players and server owners to adjust the mechanics to suit their preferred gameplay.
