Zombies With Bows+
Think zombies are dangerous enough up close?
What if they didn’t need to get close?
Zombies With Bows+ gives zombies and other applicable undead variants the ability to spawn with bows or crossbows, turning some encounters into ranged combat.
That zombie running toward you?
It might not be running toward you at all.
Ranged Undead
Zombies, Husks, Drowned, Zombie Villagers, Zombified Piglins, and other compatible zombie variants can spawn with ranged weapons.
Depending on your configuration, they can spawn with:
- Bows
- Crossbows
Each supported mob has configurable spawn weights, allowing you to decide how common ranged undead should be.
Enchanted Weapons
Ranged undead can also spawn with enchanted weapons, making some encounters significantly more dangerous.
Bows
Configure the chances for:
- Power I–V
- Punch I–II
- Flame
- Unbreaking I–III
- Mending
- Infinity
Crossbows
Configure the chances for:
- Quick Charge I–III
- Multishot
- Piercing I–IV
- Unbreaking I–III
- Mending
You can control both how frequently weapons are enchanted and how frequently individual enchantments appear.
Highly Configurable
Almost everything important can be configured.
You can control:
- Ranged weapon spawn weights
- Spawn behavior for individual undead variants
- Bow and crossbow selection
- Weapon enchantment chances
- Individual enchantment weights
This lets you create anything from:
A rare zombie archer encounter
to:
An entire world filled with ranged undead.
Want ranged zombies to be a rare surprise?
Lower the weights.
Want a brutal apocalypse where every group of zombies might contain an archer?
Increase them.
The choice is yours.
FLAME’s Zombie Lib
Zombies With Bows+ uses FLAME’s Zombie Lib as its shared framework for zombie equipment and configuration.
This allows it to work alongside other FLAME zombie mods while keeping shared equipment systems consistent and helping prevent different special-zombie equipment mods from fighting over the same mob.
