BrewTeam Minecolonies

Welcome Back!

In early 2020, looking for a change of pace from the survivalist style of play, our group of players set out on an adventure to conquer MineColonies under 1.15.2; it was an adventure to say the least.  We learned the details about the mod, which has come quite a long way since then.

This is an attempt to rekindle that mod-pack under version 1.18.2;   There are several key mods that haven’t ticked-up to this version of Minecraft yet, but this lets us plant our flag in the ground and get all the kinks out of any mod conflicts, ore balance, etc.

If you would like to join us while we re-create all the tasks using FTBquests, get all the custom recipes and structures together, feel free to send me a PM and you can play on our test server.  The more the merrier.  We currently support 10 concurrent users.

Word of Warning Though:

       1. There are chances, albeit slim at this point, of an overworld reset.  This will only happen if we find a breaking change.  But that’s part of beta.  We’ve been running on this server for about a month and think we are pretty stable.  having KubeJS and Create bump to 1.18.2 is one of the big hurdles we were waiting for.

      2.  The modpack will be updated *very* regularly, possibly even multiple times per day.  If you can’t connect because of a mod version issue be sure to check for an updated pack.

      3. There are *NO* ores in the overworld.  It’s one of the ways we protect the overworld from mod conflicts and oredict compatibility issues.  We have a very easy-to-craft mining portal that will take you to a pretty OP mining dimension.  This mod-pack is NOT about resource gathering.  resource gathering has been made especially easy on purpose.  This mod is about Minecolonies, the progression within the mod, and cool city building.

      4. Abandoned colonies will have the terrain regenerated back to it’s default seed state.  If you haven’t logged on in more than 30 days we will regen the terrain.  If you decide you don’t want to play just let us know and we can regen if prior to that.

     5.  This modpack WILL be getting a statistical analysis mod that will publish stats about your gameplay to a website.  It’s not ready yet, but it’s coming.  If you have an issue with your play hours, # of deaths, etc. being visible on the interwebs then it’s best not to join.

     6.  We use staged ranks.  don’t like the cooldown on your /home or /back command? want more claimed chunks? no worries.  The longer you play online the more your rank will increase.

We prohibit:

       bullying, racism, etc.  The BrewTeam is comprised of Gen-X adults.  We don’t take kindly to that behavior and will immediately ban players who do it.  No questions, No second chances.

       All of this runs on our servers, so at the end of the day we make the rules; please follow them.  Official admins have the prefix “GOD” shown in chat.
