Wrench and Wand

Wrench and Wand is a big all-round pack for Minecraft 1.12.2 with tech, magic and a lot of places to explore. There is no quest book and no forced progression. Build a factory, research Thaumcraft, fly to the Moon, or go find a Millénaire village and trade with it.

This is the mod list we run on our own server. Every release matches the server exactly, mod versions and configs included, and each one comes with a server pack.

Tech

Thermal Expansion, Mekanism, Industrial Craft 2, Ender IO, Immersive Engineering, Buildcraft, Applied Energistics 2, Refined Storage, Logistics Pipes, CC: Tweaked and Advanced Solar Panels. Energy Converters lets machines from different mods share power.

Magic

Thaumcraft 6 with Thaumic Augmentation, Thaumic Tinkerer and Crimson Revelations, plus ProjectE. If you like breeding bees, Forestry, Magic Bees and More Bees are in.

Exploration

Galacticraft (Moon, Mars, Venus and the asteroids), The Twilight Forest, Atum 2, AbyssalCraft, The Lost Cities, Biomes O’ Plenty, Battle Towers, Roguelike Dungeons, YUNG’s Better Caves and Better Mineshafts, Aquatic Odyssey.

Villages

Millénaire, MineColonies and Villager Market. The Village and Pillage update is backported too, with raids, patrols and crossbows.

Quality of life

JEI, JourneyMap, Waystones, Carry On, Lootr, Storage Drawers, Iron Chests, Cooking for Blockheads, AppleSkin, FTB Backups, and Morpheus, so the night passes without everyone having to sleep.

Requirements

• Java 8
• 6 GB of RAM for the game, 8 GB if you can spare it
• OptiFine is not included. Add it yourself if you want shaders.

Running a server

Open the Files tab and download the server pack of the same version (it is listed as an additional file). Unzip it into an empty folder and run start.sh or start.bat. Forge installs itself on the first start. Then set eula=true in eula.txt and start again. README.txt in the pack has the details.

Notes

Galacticraft is no longer on CurseForge, so the pack ships its 4.0.2.280 jars directly, as its license allows for modpacks. Source: https://github.com/micdoodle8/Galacticraft
