AquaMirage

AquaMirage is a standalone client-side visual mod that enhances Minecraft’s water and rain while keeping the game’s familiar blocky style.

Enjoy gentle waves, clearer underwater views, beautiful reflections and rain puddles that bring your world to life.

– Natural water waves with adjustable strength and speed.
– Screen-space reflections (SSR) of nearby visible scenery.
– Sky, cloud and sun reflections.
– Clearer water with improved underwater lighting and fog.
– Water lighting that adapts to daytime, nighttime and weather.
– Rain ripples and softer splash particles.
– Improved rain visuals with configurable settings.
– Reflective ground puddles that accumulate during rain and gradually dry.
– World-anchored puddles that stay in place as you move.
– In-game controls to customize the appearance.

Standalone

AquaMirage includes its own rendering effects. Iris and Sodium are not required.

This is a mod, so install it in your mods folder.

Supported Versions

Available for Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1, 1.21.1 and 26.3, with separate builds for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge.

Download the file matching your Minecraft version and mod loader.

Controls

– F8: Open AquaMirage settings.
– F9: Toggle the enhanced visuals for comparison.
