Fantasticore

Fantasticore is the core mod of the Fantasy MC modpack. It ties the pack’s mods together: the bosses open the End, mod armor fits the vanilla tiers, and every recipe shows in the recipe book.

The twelve eyes

The End portal needs twelve different End Remastered eyes, and each one belongs to a boss.

• Defeat a boss and its eye rises from the body and flies into you. Everyone nearby who fought gets one too.
• Eyes aren’t items. You can’t drop them, lose them or have them stolen.
• No chest, drop, recipe or trade gives an eye. The bosses are the only way.
• Your eyes sit in a panel beside your inventory. An empty socket names the boss that holds it.
• At the stronghold, right-click a portal frame. With all twelve, the eyes rise, circle the portal and fly into the frames, and the portal opens.

Armor in the vanilla tiers

Fantasy Armor’s sets are spread over leather, iron, diamond and netherite, instead of all being netherite upgrades.

• Leather, iron and diamond sets are crafted at a crafting table, in the vanilla armor shape with the set’s item in the gap.
• Netherite sets are a netherite piece with the set’s item above it, and keep its enchantments.
• Each set repairs and enchants like its tier’s vanilla armor. Only netherite sets resist fire.
• With the modpack’s config, each set has the armor, toughness and durability of its tier, plus one small extra, such as a little speed or health.

Every recipe in the book

Many of the pack’s mods have recipes the recipe book never shows. Fantasticore adds an unlock for each one, so the recipe appears when you first pick up its main ingredient.

Soulslike Weaponry’s gear

Soulslike Weaponry’s weapons, armor and the materials only they use are out of survival. No recipe, loot or drop gives them. Its bosses stay, with everything needed to reach them.

Fixes between mods

• Bosses of Mass Destruction’s Void Blossom cavern no longer crashes world generation alongside Cliff under a Tree.
• Dungeons and Taverns’ tavern quest villagers now offer their quest map.
• Mowzie’s Mobs no longer says “Never breaks” on armor that can break.

The Fantasy MC look

A built-in resource pack carries the modpack’s look and text: the dragon frame behind the hotbar, the XP bar, the crosshair and the cursor, and the pack’s names for vanilla things, such as difficulties from Novice to Legendary.
