Evolve: the Flow of Magic

Evolve – the Flow of Magic is a medium sized modpack (4Gb of ram) with changes that aim to make exploring the world and PvP fun again!

We now have over 5000 lines of code improving the gameplay experience 😉

Main features: 

– Wizardry, Vampirism, The Aether, Dragons in a whole new light! Thaumcraft, Blood Magic, Botania ….

– GPS Mod that lets you find other players nearby

– Adorable PETS!

– Some mods that fundamentally improve the overall experience too much to be left out, namely AE2 (thaumic energistics is back !!!)

– Custom ore generation that coupled with multiple early game quality of life mods will make mining possibly even fun

– Absolutely NO tedious mods that only draw out the gameplay while adding nothing new (e.g. Spice of Life / mobs with more health the more you play )

– Most decoration mods and many both performance and visual enhancement mods since we value immersion above all else.

– New and improved potions, no longer do they only have dull effects!

– JEI will be as clutter free as possible, meaning that if you can see an item, you will be able to craft it

We will be focusing on content and progression in the coming updates:
– we will not lock players behind hard gates like most expert packs (e.g. going through most of botania just to start thaumcraft ….)

– instead we will balance the late game. For example, to craft botania’s terrasteel equipment you might need to at least have a basic blood altar from blood magic, or thaumium from thaumcraft (either way an early game item from a different mod).

– Quest lines will be added once we are satisfied with the balance aspect of the modpack

– Many other tweaks…

Note: While this pack will continue to update mods, the main development has moved to Evolve Magic due to the amount of mod removals.
