world Corruption Stages

A doomsday countdown datapack for Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11.

Set a timer and the world falls apart in four stages, ending with everything gone except a small bedrock platform.

STAGES

1. The Calm – start of the timer. The world is normal.

2. Corruption – 50% of the time left. Random chunks near you start vanishing.

3. Extinction – 25% of the time left. Every mob dies and nothing drops (no loot, no XP). Chunks vanish twice as fast.

4. Deletion – time is up. Everything is removed instantly. You are moved to an empty world with only a small bedrock platform.

FEATURES

– Any timer length, from 10 seconds to many hours

– The stage and time left show above your hotbar, with titles and sounds for each stage

– Stage 4 is instant with no lag, because no blocks are deleted one by one

– Stages 2 and 3 never delete the chunk you are standing in

– Everything can be changed in game with commands

– One datapack, no mods needed

COMMANDS (cheats or operator permissions needed)

/function wwstages:set {hours:2,minutes:0,seconds:0}  – set the time and start

/function wwstages:set {hours:0,minutes:1,seconds:0}  – 1-minute test

/function wwstages:stop      – stop the timer

/function wwstages:start     – start with the saved time

/function wwstages:reset     – clear everything

/function wwstages:corruption {ticks:40,radius:6}  – how often and how far chunks vanish

/function wwstages:restore   – go back to the old overworld after stage 4

/function wwstages:help      – list all commands

SAVING THE WORLD

Defeat the Elder Guardian, the Wither, the Warden and the Ender Dragon before time runs out to cancel the wipe and save your world. Progress shows next to the timer. If even one boss is still alive when time is up, stage 4 happens.

INSTALLATION

1. Download WorldWipeStages.zip and do not unzip it.

2. Put it in saves/<your world>/datapacks/

3. Close and reopen the world once (the empty world only loads when the world opens).

4. Open chat (T) and run /function wwstages:set {hours:0,minutes:1,seconds:0} to test.

VERSION

– Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11 only (data pack format 94.1)

– Works on vanilla and on Fabric

– Not for Bedrock Edition

– Will not load on 1.21.10 or older, and I have not tested newer versions

NOTES

– The old overworld stays in your save file. Stage 4 only moves you out of it. /function wwstages:restore takes you back.

– Stage 3 kills every non-player mob, including pets.

– Back up your world before using it.
