Gems and Caves Update!

The long-awaited cave update is here!

This is a small modpack with a few mods to spruce up cavegen, add some new mobs, and some backports of current Minecraft features. But that’s not all — there’s a whole new game mechanic to play with. That’s right ladies and gents, we now have gemstones! While yes, they do add tons of new tools, the most intersting thing (IMO) is their usefulness for enchanting. From the mod’s description:

 

“Tired of making mob grinders and hoping you’ll get the enchantments you want? Why not just invest your mineral assets into enchanting instead? With enchantment tokens, you can have exactly what you want, for the right price! They should also work with tools from most other mods (no, they don’t work with Tinker’s Construct!) Of course, you can still use enchantment tables if you like.”

We also have several new minecart features, such as intersection rails, holding rails, launching rails, and perhaps most importantly, (un)loaders!
