CraftSaddles is a lightweight vanilla Minecraft Java datapack that adds a crafting recipe for saddles to older Minecraft versions.

What It Does

Craft 1 Saddle using:

• 3 Leather
• 1 Iron Ingot

Recipe:

[   ] [Leather] [   ]
[Leather] [Iron] [Leather]
[   ] [   ] [   ]

The recipe is shaped and can also sit lower in the crafting grid.

It matches the saddle crafting recipe added to vanilla Minecraft in 1.21.6+.

Supported Versions

Minecraft Java Edition 1.13 through 1.21.5

CraftSaddles is not needed on Minecraft 1.21.6+, since saddle crafting is already included in vanilla.

Installation

1. Download the ZIP for your Minecraft version.
2. Place it in your world’s datapacks/ folder.
3. Make sure only one CraftSaddles version is installed.
4. Reopen the world or run /reload.
5. Use /datapack list enabled to confirm it loaded.
6. Craft your saddle.
