What is it

Discrete Names is a simple mod that remove nametags and make it so that names are displayed below the cursor when you’re targeting a player. The mod also allows players to define the pronouns they are using.

This mod is intended for small roleplay-oriented games where nametags are usually removed.

Command

You can use the /pronouns set command to define pronouns. You can also remove them by using /pronouns reset.

Configuration

The configuration is driven with MidnightLib.

By default, the range to show names is set to 4 blocks and can be configured from 1 to 32 blocks.

By default, nametags are still rendered when in creative and spectator, you can disable this behavior in the configuration menu.

Credits

The original idea come from RAT’s WATHE mod that implement this functionality in their minigame.

Discrete Names 怎么安装？

先用 PCL2 或 HMCL 启动器安装对应版本的 Fabric，再把下载的 .jar 文件放进游戏目录的 mods 文件夹，重新启动游戏即可。开启了版本隔离的，mods 文件夹在 versions/版本名下面。运行环境：客户端和服务端都要装。
