ChatFS — Fast File & Folder Transfer in Minecraft

ChatFS allows players to instantly send files, schematics (.litematic), screenshots, and entire folders directly to each other inside Minecraft via in-game chat!

• Smart Video Compression: Automatically compresses large videos (>100 MB) down to ~85 MB with high-speed H.264 using FFmpeg (with 1-click automatic FFmpeg installer in settings).
• Clipboard Integration: Press Ctrl+V in chat to instantly attach screenshots (Win+Shift+S / PrintScreen), video clips, or copied files.
• Folder Support: Send entire folders — ChatFS automatically archives them to ZIP on the fly and unpacks them on the recipient’s PC.
• Native Windows File Picker: Select files easily using the native OS file explorer or in-game GUI (/chatfs menu or clicking the paperclip button).
• Server Protection: Built-in anti-spam, 50 MB limit (increased up to 100 MB for video files with automatic compression), and queued stream manager to prevent server lag.

How to Use

1. Press T to open chat and click the paperclip button, or type /chatfs menu.
2. Select a file or folder using the Browse button.
3. Enter recipient nickname and optional comment, then click Send!
4. Recipient clicks [ACCEPT] in chat to save the file into their Downloads folder.
5. Click [View] or [Watch] in chat to open images and videos right in Minecraft.

Controls & Shortcuts

• Ctrl + V: Paste screenshot or file from clipboard in chat.
• Space: Play / Pause video in the player.
• Left Arrow / Right Arrow: Seek backward / forward 5 seconds.
• Up Arrow / Down Arrow or Mouse Wheel: Adjust volume up / down (5% step).
• M: Toggle mute / unmute in the video player.
• Esc: Close viewer or settings.

Commands

• /chatfs send <player> <file> — Send a file or folder directly to another player.
• /chatfs accept <id> — Accept an incoming file transfer offer.
• /chatfs cancel <id> — Decline or cancel a pending transfer.
• /chatfs settings — Open ChatFS settings (custom download folder, button positioning, FFmpeg setup).
