Modern Sounds for Beta

This small mod adds missing sounds to Beta 1.7.3, such as:

All sounds can be individually enabled or disabled in the mod config

• Furnace fire crackle
• Sound of entering and exiting the water
• Underwater ambient loop
• Minecart rolling sound
• Boat water sounds
• Squid sounds (idle, hurt, death)
• Ladder climbing sounds
• Sound of wind during free fall (uses modern Elytra flight sound — since Beta has no Elytras,

it felt logical to use it for falling)

• Bucket sounds (water, lava, milk)
• Flint and steel sound
• Painting place/break sounds
• Armor equipping sounds (leather, iron/gold/chainmail, diamond)
• Fishing rod sounds
• Bone meal sound
• Lava sounds
• Chest open/close sounds
• Eating sounds
• Sheep dyeing sound
• Shearing sound

If another mod already adds the same sound (for example, chest or shearing sounds), just disable it in our config to avoid doubling.
