Wither’s Wrath

 Explore, battle, and survive in a dangerous world on the journey to defeat the Wither Storm and save the Overworld. 

Wither Storm: I owe a huge thanks to NoNameCrackers2 for creating Cracker’s Wither Storm Mod, which made this modpack possible in the first place!

OptiFine: This modpack is NOT compatible with OptiFine, as I have added better alternatives. If you would like to use shaders, remove Rubidium and its addons and replace it with OptiFine.

Epic Fight: Many of the custom animations this mod adds may conflict with other mods. These are unfortunately unavoidable, but can be bypassed by turning on “Filter Animations” in the Epic Fight config.

Performance: Your framerate will inevitably drop when looking at the higher stages of the Wither Storm. If it becomes unplayabl, press the purple W in the settings menu and navigate to Client Options, and turn ON Low-Res Models and turn OFF debris.

Server Pack: If you do not know how to use the server pack, use the CurseForge app instead. If you are looking to set up a server, please note that this modpack requires you to use Forge version 40.1.57 for 1.18.2 to work properly.

Along with the wither storm, this modpack adds several new features! Here’s a list of some of the important ones:

You don’t start this modpack like you would with any other modpack, punching down a tree with your bare fist. Instead, collect as many rocks and twigs as you can. One you have a enough, place a few rocks in your main and offhand and bang them together until you get a few flint. Use this flint and a stick to craft a hatchet to chop down your first tree. Right click a couple of logs to strip them and craft them with your hatchet to get planks. Finally, use those planks to craft a crafting table, craft four pebbles together to get a piece of cobblestone, and craft yourself stone tools (wooden tools are too weak to exist). After you’ve collected no more than some starter tools and a boat, make your way over to the abandoned brick house at x:0 z:0, and climb your way to the top where you’ll find a wither-like formation (you can skip this step if you wish to summon the wither storm later). Don’t worry, you totally aren’t one step away from summoning a mutant and deadly beast that’ll destroy everything you’ve ever loved. Anyway, place the nearby wither skull on top of command block… and RUN! I’m going to give you a helpful tip right now, you are safe NOWHERE (in the overworld). This thing can detect you where ever you are and won’t stop until it destroys you. Continue to run until you have a decent amount of distance between you and the beast. You should spend the little time you have above ground collecting seeds and acorns, gathering food and villagers (you can pick them up now), and collecting other rare resources that can only be found above ground. The wither storm will accelerate if you are not moving or if it evolves, so it will inevitably catch you. Once it gets too close for comfort, retreat underground and create a bunker. Hopefully you have enough resources…

-Every weapon has their own unique animations and abilities. Make sure to try them out to see which one you like best!

-You can mine entire veins of ores by holding “X” while you mine.

-You’ll be on the go a lot in this modpack, so try crafting yourself a backpack and upgrading it as you go

-You can craft 3×3 hammers which could be very helpful while mining

-You can use strategically placed nether portals to travel to different points throughout the overworld to avoid the wither storm and gather valuable resources

-If Nether Travel is to dangerous for you try crafting a jetpack, and powering it with a charger and a generator

-Artifacts are sacred treasures that, when worn, can grant you special abilities…

-You can access your map by pressing “M” and create waypoints by pressing “N”

-If you happen to die, you can easily get your stuff back by going to your death location and interacting with your corpse

-Be sure to set render distance to at least 8, set entity render distance to 500%, and disable fog for the best view of the wither storm

-The Formidibomb may or may not be very helpful for defeating the wither storm, but I’ll leave that up to you to figure out…

-The Guidebook will be VERY important on your journey to defeat the Wither Storm…
