Stay put! [door waxing]

‘Stay put!’ is a simple and compatible mod, which adds the ability to wax doors, trapdoors and fence gates, similar to signs.

What it does:

This mod adds the ability to be ‘waxed’ to all doors, including trapdoors and fence-doors. Once one of these blocks is waxed it is fixed in its current position, until it gets broken. To wax a door simply right-click on it with a piece of honeycomb, like how you would wax a block of copper.

Why?

The main reason that I created this mod was because I got annoyed that I kept flicking doors and trapdoors that were placed for decoration. This mod adds a way to prevent this minor annoyance, hopefully making your game a little bit better 🙂

Iron doors?

Once a door is waxed, thats it. It can no longer be opened or closed at all, even by redstone. This allows you to fix things like iron trapdoors in their open position without needing to be powered, allowing for greater flexibility in building and decorating in survival.

Copper doors?

Copper doors have been given special treatment, as they can already be waxed with honeycomb in vanilla (though with different purpose). As a simple work-around, waxed copper doors may now be ‘double-waxed’ in order to fix their state.

Compatibility

The mod should be compatible with almost every mod, so long as they extend the vanilla blocks. If they for some reason do not do that, then special compatibility can be added. 🙂
