Miss the old combat mechanics? Classic Sword Blocking brings back the iconic ability to block with swords to Minecraft 1.21.1.
When holding the block button while using a sword, incoming damage is reduced by 50%, recreating the classic defensive playstyle from earlier versions of the game. To maintain compatibility and balance, if the player has a shield equipped, the shield’s blocking mechanics will always take priority over sword blocking.
