Your village’s guardian just got a serious upgrade. Mega Knight rebuilds the Iron Golem as a heavily armored knight, inspired by the famous Clash Royale card, while keeping the clean pixel-art look of vanilla Minecraft.

🛡️ A brand-new model
Closed great helm with an eye slit and a barred visor, topped by a blue plume
V-shaped breastplate with layered plates, steel pauldrons and silver scale mail showing between the armor pieces
Blue belt with a big square buckle
Spiked iron balls in place of both hands
Vanilla-style 16x pixel art (128×128 texture) – no smooth, “plastic” gradients
🎲 Three variants, picked at random

Each golem rolls once and keeps its look forever:

Variant Chance Look
Mega Knight 80% Lead-grey steel, just like the original card
Evo 15% Royal purple armor with gold trims and glowing purple runes
Hero 5% Weathered brass armor with warm amber highlights
🌙 Glows in the dark
Evo and Hero have emissive details (runes, gem, buckle, bands, spikes) that stay bright at night
Every variant’s eyes light up when the golem locks onto a mob – blue, purple or amber – and go dark again when it loses its target
👊 Mega Uppercut

The vanilla double-arm slam is replaced by a proper uppercut:

winds up low and behind
swings from the ground up
finishes with the spiked fist high above the head and holds it for a moment
smoothly returns to its normal pose

It punches one fist at a time and alternates hands on every hit, while the other fist stays up in guard.

🌹 Vanilla behaviour preserved
The poppy-offering animation and the poppy texture are untouched (the right spiked ball steps aside so the flower shows)
Vanilla damage cracks still appear as the golem gets hurt
Walking and idle animations stay vanilla
📦 Requirements
Minecraft Java Edition 26.3
Entity Model Features (EMF)
Entity Texture Features (ETF)
A mod loader supported by EMF/ETF (e.g. Fabric)

⚠️ OptiFine is not supported – the animations use EMF-exclusive functions.

🔧 Installation
Install EMF and ETF.
Drop the .zip into your resourcepacks folder.
Enable Mega Knight in Options → Resource Packs.
If you use other packs that change the Iron Golem model, place Mega Knight above them.
⚙️ Changing the chances

Open assets/minecraft/optifine/random/entity/iron_golem/iron_golem.properties inside the zip and edit:

weights.1=80 15 5

(order: Mega Knight, Evo, Hero)

❓ FAQ

Does it work on servers? Yes – it’s client-side only. Everyone who wants to see it needs the pack plus EMF/ETF. Does it change golem stats or behaviour? No, it’s purely visual. Can I use it in my modpack? Yes, as long as the modpack downloads it from this page (CurseForge modpacks do this automatically). Please don’t reupload the files.
