Special Abilities

Emerald tools and armor glow with totem particles while you hold or wear them. The tools also have an active ability: sneak and right click while holding the right item in your off hand. Every use has a short cooldown and wears the tool a little.

The Totem of Emeralds works from your main hand or off hand. When it saves you it gives you Absorption, Resistance, Regeneration and Strength, loses one charge and turns into a Broken Totem after the third. The broken totem hurts a little when you use it, so repair it instead: at the Totem Repair Table, or by crafting it together with a Stacked Emerald Block.

The Emerald Spear is a plain spear made from emeralds: it uses all the vanilla spear moves, lasts longer than a diamond spear and is repaired with emeralds.

The plugin and the data pack build every item from vanilla items, so they need no mod on the client. Without a block entity there is no Totem Repair Table there: the broken totem is repaired by crafting it together with a Stacked Emerald Block. In the data pack the tool abilities start when you begin to sneak, since a data pack cannot see a right click into the air.
