What’s added?

Ore XP Orbs makes Copper, Iron, and Gold ores drop experience orbs when mined, similar to ores like Diamond, Emerald, Lapis lazuli and Coal.

Because the experience is dropped as XP orbs instead of being added directly to your XP bar, it works naturally with Mending. Your equipped Mending tools and armor can use the XP to restore durability just like with vanilla XP orbs.

_Fortune works normally, while Silk Touch prevents XP from dropping and gives you the ore block as usual._

XP rewards:

Copper Ore: 0–1 XP – 20% chance to drop XP.
Previous V1.0 behavior: 0–2 XP
Iron Ore: 1–3 XP
Gold Ore: 2–4 XP

Installation:

Modrinth App

With the Modrinth app, you can simply add it to your profile from the browser on the app and add it to your instance/profile – Just be sure you have the required dependencies for what loader you use!

Datapack

Download the Datapack version.
Open your Minecraft world folder.
Place the .zip file inside: .minecraft/saves/<your world>/datapacks/
Load the world or run /reload.

Fabric

Install Fabric 26.X.
Install Fabric API – corresponding with the Fabric version you use 26.1, 26.2 etc.
Put the Ore XP Orbs mod (.jar) in .minecraft/mods.
Launch Fabric version of Minecraft.

Fabric dependency: Fabric API is required when using the Fabric version. Install a Fabric API version compatible with your Minecraft version.

Quilt

Install Quilt Loader for Minecraft 26.X
Put the Ore XP Orbs mod (.jar) in .minecraft/mods.
