MapReset

A Minecraft Fabric mod that allows you to scan a region of the world and restore it later.

Features

• MapReset Hoe: A special tool for marking positions

Installation

1. Make sure you have the Fabric Loader installed
2. Download the mod
3. Place the .jar file in the mods folder of your Minecraft server
4. Restart the server

Commands

/mapreset wand

Gives you the MapReset Hoe.

Example:

/mapreset wand

/mapreset pos1 [x] [y] [z]

Sets position 1. Without coordinates, the position is set to your player’s location. With coordinates, the position is set to the specified values.

Examples:

/mapreset pos1
/mapreset pos1 100 64 200

/mapreset pos2 [x] [y] [z]

Sets position 2. Without coordinates, the position is set to your player’s location. With coordinates, the position is set to the specified values.

Examples:

/mapreset pos2
/mapreset pos2 150 70 250

/mapreset scan

Scans the region between position 1 and position 2 and saves the block states.

Requirement: Both positions must be set.

Example:

/mapreset scan

/mapreset reset

Resets the scanned region to the saved state.

Example:

/mapreset reset

Using the MapReset Hoe

1. Get the Hoe: Use /mapreset wand to get the MapReset Hoe
2. Set Position 1: Left-click on a block with the hoe
3. Set Position 2: Right-click on a block with the hoe
4. Scan Region: Use /mapreset scan to save the region
5. Reset Region: Use /mapreset reset to restore the region

MapReset Hoe Features

• Left-click: Sets position 1 (green message)
• Right-click: Sets position 2 (blue message)
• Particles: Shows the marked region with End Rod particles when holding the hoe
• Block Count: Displays the number of blocks in the marked region
• Sound Effects: Different sounds for position 1 and 2

Technical Details

• Scanned data is saved in a mapreset_data.nbt file in the server directory
• Positions are saved per player (UUID-based)
• The mod is server-side and requires no client installation
